30 hours/week, 8:30am - 5pm with some flexibility

Responsibilities:

Provide services to eligible youth ages 14-26 in effort to improve the employment and social functioning outcomes for those youth in transition.

Have knowledge of the Vermont System of Care Plan and the Guideline for Implementing an Individualized Care Plan for Children & Adolescents with a Severe Emotional Disturbance.

Have knowledge of the operation and function of the Local Interagency Team; special education laws as they pertain to emotional disturbance; and policies and procedures of DCF regarding children in need of care and supervision.

Have knowledge of community resources available to children and families and ability to make appropriate referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in human service field preferred. Will consider other Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with youth who have emotional and behavioral challenges essential.
  • Requires someone with understanding of vocational job skills who is good with older youth.
  • Valid driver's license.
